No trace of blood
Drifting by the window
Nothing to fear
Bursting and mangled
Eaten by the flames
Surety is in the air
Above and triumphant
Being the last
Emerge and roar
To myself
Destruction
Tidy up the mess
The burden of self
Blind tenacity
Nourished by death
Take the devil
Take his horny hand
The same destiny
Gunned down in the street
No memory
No regret
Only bloody hands
An unthinkable void
Lost in obscurity
All a sack of bones

How Much?
How Much?
And then, it surfaces
The darkness
I try to keep it out
It pries it way through
The space under the door
And I see
Like never before
The Formica of your touch
Cold and dull
Mechanical and unfeeling
As if you are going through the motions
Following the orders
Of your master
You are something
Made for nightmares
The time we spend
Means nothing to you
Everything to me
And I know
In the end
There is nothing
There is always a dollar
To be made
Any way you can
Just speak it into existence
The first car
Down your dusty road
That leads you back
To me
Easier to wallow
In the confusion
We both lie
We both hurt
We both walk away
From each other
A those practiced lines
I found written in your notebook
You pretended to be cold
Your distance was a disguise
And now
I know
You will never say
How much you love me
And then, it surfaces
The darkness
I try to keep it out
It pries it way through
The space under the door
And I see
Like never before
The Formica of your touch
Cold and dull
Mechanical and unfeeling
As if you are going through the motions

They were not written
They were not written
Upon your mind
No, they were not
It just couldn’t be
No matter how many times
You tried to twist it around
In your mind
It still didn’t fit
Didn’t make sense
And it never will
Just accept that
And get over it
We all have
Well, most of us
Upon your mind
No, they were not
It just couldn’t be
No matter how many times
You tried to twist it around
In your mind
It still didn’t fit
Didn’t make sense
And it never will
Just accept that
And get over it
We all have
Well, most of us

His Name is Baphomet
His Name is Baphomet
stumble over
again like clockwork
like unfurled freedom
kept hidden from the world
the way of drunken predictability
tonight it will be different
uncomplicated to destroy
an unfortunate sin
if I asked you for something more
would you give it
could you meet me half way
in the darkness
where I plot our mutual destruction
I imagine you creeping up behind me
you are so ready to pounce
to take your pound of flesh
you are not confused by my contradictions
you touch the real me
the me that no one knows
only you
could you give yourself away
free without reservation
without doubt or belief
blind to the reasons
could you still the questions in your heart
bend to the blowing of my wind
cradle my gift of fire
I pull apart the flesh
and show you the dragon within
you know his name
he has been with me
from the beginning
the calm force behind my eyes
and he loves you
as much as I
maybe even more
he knows you cannot resist
the heat of my flame
my fire is in you
and it does not burn
it satisfies

Deliverance is on the Next Train
Deliverance is on the Next Train
not looking
not even a little
huddled under the forgotten
the parade of faces
lives, roughly hewn
in the furnaces of life
the remains are painful
known for so long
under a raspberry sky
beginning to swell
yes, I said swell
becoming so large
ungodly in its sight
more than we can count
waiting for the ghost
that hides in the closet
to melt in the summer heat
like clapping hands
and stomping feet
so sticky to the touch
we can never wash it away
not in this life
born too many times
a prayer for your ribs
one is missing
it fell out from you
and no one can explain why
the edge is so jagged
rusty from so many years of use
my heart buried in the bookshelf
ten needy fingers
my head on the carpet
listening for the buffalo
my lips move, but there is no feeling
no drops of blood from my soul
I shout at the stars
ask them why they are silent
born with this bad sign
the curse of my fathers
keeps me here
bound to the wretched land
waiting for a deliverance
that never comes
